Example of how it works
Hi folks
Did a mileage run to Chicago from EDI last weekend. When I booked it it was a few days before miles were announced so I was hoping for mega pints. :-(
What I got was (destinations miles then status miles)
03/05/2003 BD EDI - MAN 900 900
03/05/2003 BD MAN - ORD 1907 1907
04/05/2003 BD ORD - MAN 1907 1907
05/05/2003 BD MAN - EDI 900 900
Note that as they book the EDI-MAN connection in S class you get more points.
I didn't get the promissed double status points (well, must be miles now). Only got 50% on my transatlantic (W class), wasn't upgraded to new economy as Gold. Will see if I get the 25% bonus.
