Miles on codeshare flights

Hi,

in case the question has been answered somewhere, I want to apologize but i haven't found an answer yet.

This is about earning miles for another FFP on flights ticketed by BMI but operated by another Star alliance carriers. In particular I might have a flight in July from CPT to LHR operated by SAA but potentially on a BMI ticket under their codeshare for this flight. Is it possible to credit these miles to another FFP (in particular A3 Miles and Bonus) or does BMI's Star alliance exit interfere with that ?

Thanks

Interesting question in practise; however, in Star Alliance, the theory is that the operating carrier is the important matter, so SAA should award your miles to A3 without hinderance.
