Reliability of ANA tool

Hi,
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, I couldnt see.
There have been a few occasionsin the recent past where I have used the ANA tool to find availability on TATL flights, however this is not reflected when I call the DC helpline. I know this has always been an issue in the past and the best thing to do is try later, but more recently, I have actually received consistent responses when calling back. (ie I cant have business, but there is a seat in economy - which doesnt show on ANA tool - and I get exactly the same offer no matter who I speak to).
Is BMI actually using a different seat inventory now to the other *A airlines or is the ANA tool broken?
For my preferred date, I can see 2 different options for a first class seat to my preferred destination accross the pond, but neither can be seen by BMI - no matter how many times I call up or speak to different agents (5 now - they have all offered me an economy seat via Zurich which I dont see on ANA). Alternatively, is there something I have missed, ie can other airlines block seats from BMI, but leave them available to ANA?
Again, apols if this is covered elsewhere, I can see lots of threads on trying again, but this seems to be a bit different.
thanks for any help,
Andy

In July of this year I was in new york and had to get home. I kept checking ANA over the course of about 4 days, there was no business class to LON, not through FRA or anywhere....I even rang up BMI each day...nothing....then, one morning, checked ANA, still nothing....then rang BMI....."Yes Sir, we have one seat with Singapore Airlines via FRA"....thank you very much!! Perfect as I wanted to fly Singapore!!!! ^

Back in March, I wanted to fly from LHR - SAN - HNL. Im not joking when I say I rang up 5 different times during the course of the day to get what I wanted. At first there was LHR - SAN, but nothing from SAN - HNL. When I rang back there was SAN-HNL, but no LHR -SAN. It was a total joke......BUT, I got what I wanted, in the end...even if it took 5 calls.

Id only use the ANA as a rough guide...Id keep ringing up till you get the answer you want..
