Same award different classes

Is it possible to book two people on one award (not two separate ones) with one of the legs in a different booking class (b/c of availability)?

ICC will say no as its more convenient for themselves - I've never seen someone being able to get around this - its just a 'rule' which probably makes the redemptions department's life a lot easier!

So, two tickets, two PNRs I'm afraid

Not a matter of convenience for ICC (this time!) - a PNR can only contain same itinerary/dates/class/flights/timings for all passengers. Any deviation will result in separate PNRs.
