This might be a silly question, but is it possible to rent two cars simultaneously?
I rented a car on Sunday for work under my name, and let my manager drive. Our team headed up to our client, and the work ended up being much more intense than we first thought. The car was originally supposed to be returned on Monday, but the project is still going on. What I didn't realize until this morning was that my manager still has the same rental car.
I'm going on vacation tomorrow to HNL, and the other car will likely still not be returned when I arrive. Is it going to be possible for me to rent another car in HNL, or will that not be allowed since I already have a car rented in NYC?

You can rent two different cars at once. I'm assuming that your manager was authoruzed to drive the car and that it's not overdue, otherwise you might want to call them about that.

I was the only driver listed when I signed the contract, but our company has a policy that any coworker may drive it (this is an agreement with Avis). The car WAS due back on Monday, but I haven't gotten any "overdue" notices or anything...

You should be fine on the additional driver issue. As far as returning the car, I don't *think* it would cause you any issues with the rental pick-up, but I would still phone Avis for an extension to be on the safe side.
