I was just reviewing the paperwork for my last two rentals (May 23 and May 28). Both were priced out higher than the quoted reservation amount. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to compare the actual price with the quoted price until now so I may have little or no recourse. One 2-day rental priced $2.50/day higher and one priced at a weekly rate which was about $20 higher than the 4 day, 20 hour rate quoted by Avis.com. With taxes and fees, however, these little differences multiply. The car class charged matches what appears on the reservation copy.

I've been a preferred member for several years and have always found the quotes from Avis.com to be very close to the final total until these rentals. Has anyone else noticed this?

Is the AWD you used at the time of booking the same as you have on your receipt? Check email!
