Hi I am going to be renting from avis in Boston Logan in August. I was wondering how everybodys experience was. I am prefered renting a full size. What is the chance of an upgrade?

it depends... I am an AvisFirst member, so I typically get upgraded 1-2categories at BOS.. if I book Compact, I get a Intermediate or Full Size. When I book an Intermediate car, I have been getting SUVs.. that's been my experience at least...

Are you a regular Avis Preferred customer, or AvisFirst?

I don't believe a regular preferred member will get an automatic upgrade. Unless of course, you go to the Preferred desk and negotiate one.^

I used to rent there all the time as regular Preferred and usually got the exact car I reserved. Now that I'm AvisFirst, I reserved an intermediate and got an SUV, which is bad for me -- I hate driving (and parking) SUV's. So now I'll have to reserve subcompacts
