Cool Gain Peferred Select status quick?

Hello. Does anyone know any fast track program or complementary Avis Peferred Select status code or something? I need to rent quite a few cars in the next while but Avis so far is not willing to upgarde me even to Select as I don't have a history with them. Also, as an Amex Platinum card holder in Canada, I just realized that we have slightly different program from US. For example, we have Fairmont Premier status but not Avis Peferred Select. If anyone out there has Avis Peferred Select source code and want to exchange for Fairmont Premier code, please PM me.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone that signs up gets free Select status. I'm Preferred Select and it really doesn't mean much most of the time. Although I've gotten a few Lincoln Towncars recently.

You have that reversed-

Preferred can be had by anyone

Preferred Select requires some rentals to get

i wouldn't know i was preferred select unless i looked at my card every so often. i got more upgrades when i wasn't preferred select simply by chance (because Avis was out of my car size). it means nothing. i have never gotten a WSJ, not once. not sure if it is still even a benefit.

Not sure why the OP is fixated on getting Preferred Select. There is no benefit to it at all. Upgrades (and WSJs) are totally at random AFAIK, to Preferreds and PSs alike.
