Inconsistent Rate Rules

I just made a one day reservation for a Sunday in July using AWD D086533, picking up at the Alladin hotel in the morning and dropping off at LAS later in the evening.

The AWD gave a great rate, but the rate rules (displayed as I was making the reservation) say "Friday Night Stay is Required." Obviously, I don't fulfill that requirement. Will I have trouble when I pick up the car?

Chances are better than average that you WILL have a problem. One thing I've learned with reservations.. "Get it all spelled out (confirmation) ahead of time!" Don't expect to win at the counter. If it say's "Friday Required"..... it probably is required for some reason. I think I'd side with Avis on this one. They are making you well aware of it ahead of time. I'd book under another code, even if it's a couple bucks higher. Try L093590, or Costco. I'm sure you can get pretty close to the same rate if you try enough codes.

D086533 gives me a rate of $28.99 + taxes for a compact. All the other codes that I've tried are about $45 (and some of them give the same Friday stay requirement!). <Rates seem to differ between the Aladdin and the airport location, which kind of surprised me>

I find it odd that the website would let me reserve at that price if the code is not valid for the rental.

I am not too concerned since the car is not a necessity. It will be my last day in Vegas, so I figured if I could get a car at a good price, I would use it to get to some of the non-strip casinos, and then save the $10 for a cab ride to the airport. If they give me a hassle, I can just walk away.
