Current AVIS EVs

I haven’t rented Avis EVs since the late winter. Did a recent lookup reservation in my home airport, ORD, and sometimes they don’t even come up.

For those that rent EVs, what’s the current selection nowadays? Are they phasing them out? Or getting newer models in?

Thanks.

I had a Hyundai Ioniq5 a few weeks ago from DFW. It seems to be mostly KIA/Hyundai product, haven't seen any Teslas lately (and I would refuse one anyway).

As noted above, mostly Hyundai/Kia at this point. I still see a rogue Tesla or Mustang. A handful of Mercedes (mostly in TX) and GV80e are around. And there is the occasional F150 Lightning or Silverado EV floating around. They seem to be less in number than a few years ago, but still getting some new ones.

AT IAH I see the normal KIA/Hyundai selection. On the higher end they had the Mercedes EQB and one EQS(the better of the 2), GV80e, and a f150 lighting.

Does normal Hyundai/KIA mean the Ioniq5 and EV6? Or are Kona EV and Niro EVs possible? Makes a big difference in fast charging the rental.

I've seen all 4 at a location before.

The only Lightnings I've seen are XLT trim with small battery.
Any idea what batteries the Silverados have - the work truck trim has 3/4/6/8WT options over the years with different range.

Just to update the thread since I completed my rental at STL, I rented intermediate with a free upgrade coupon. The agent put me in a Genesis G70 which was already a nice upgrade but I asked about EVs since I drive one. The counter agent said no one wants to rent them so I was free to roam the lot and pick whichever EV I wanted! There was a Model 3, a Model Y, 3 Hyundai Ioniq5s, a Mercedes EQB, a Ford Mustang Mach E, a Volvo C40, and a Genesis G80e.

Berkeley,

I've got an upcoming rental at STL, did the agent mention the return charge % requirement? Was able to snag a Mach-E (40K mi) at IAH last Monday (AWS outage), there was no requirement. Also, how was the general selection - I've found STL to be hit-or-miss for decent vehicles. Thanks!

I was at SJC last week, and at both pickup & at drop off, there were loads of Ioniq5s & Mach-Es. I would have gotten one if I didn't have to drive a ton.
