PC free additional driver
Hi,
I'm new to the forum. Just earned AVIS PC status through AMEX platinum in Italy.
AVIS' Italian website lists free additional driver among PC tier benefits along with roadside assistance.
I have an upcoming rental in the US, car to be picked up in Las Vegas and returned in Denver, CO.
My question is: will I get a free additional driver on this reservation? I booked the rental on the Italian AVIS website and I was offered to add additional drivers for a fee.
The rental confirmation doesn't seem to mention anything on this note.
Is a free additional driver a perk offered to PC members in the US at all?
It seems that a free additional driver is included when booking through the British Airways-AVIS car hire page (one.avisworld). I might consider cancelling my existing booking and making a new reservation there.
Does anyone know whether PC benefits would apply, namely car upgrade, when booking through that page?
thanks in advance.

In my limited (compared to others on here) experience, I would comment as follows:
- I'm status matched to PC in the UK and Europe but this is not recognised in the US (my status shows on the US systems as base 'Preferred'), so I've never received any 'perks'.
- In Europe, through both PC status and/or a British Airways reservation, I've had to request the additional driver and roadside assistance be added to the reservation at the time of collection and occasionally prove to the agent that I'm entitled to it.
- In the US, a spouse/partner/etc. are covered under the Avis insurance as an additional driver (with no fee) as long as the have the correct credentials.
