Oh man, I've been slacking on this thread this year:
Status is PC and Full Size booked for all, and I don't usually change what I'm offered because I usually don't care that much... Location: PHX Offered/Received: Toyota Crown Hybrid (considered a "Cool Car" ) Location: PWM Offered/Received: Ford Expedition Location: CH1 (downtown Chicago) Offered/Received: Cadillac XT6 Location: DTW Offered/Received: Chevy Traverse Location: DTW Offered/Received: Kia Sorrento Location: LAX (one-way to ONT) Offered/Received: Dodge Hornet Location: PHX Offered/Received: GMC Terrain Location: FCA Offered/Received: GMC Terrain Location: ABQ Offered/Received: Grand Cherokee Plugin Hybrid Not a bad year all in all! One more to go at DTW on 12/23. |
Status: Preferred
Location: Orlando Int'l Airport (MCO) Booked: Full size sedan Offered: Intermediate SUVs and full sizes through website (Buick Encore, Chevy Malibu, GMC Terrain) Received: 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee (went to counter) Usually I am offered pickup trucks which are my preference, but was happy to get a nice little upgrade nonetheless. The grand cherokee is a nice car to drive, I just wish Avis cleaned their cars better on the interior though. |

I rented an Enclave a few years ago and absolutely loved it. My favorite vehicle in that class. The Traverse has got to be pretty decent as well since it has the V6 (I still don't understand how it got that and the GMC got the 4-banger).

Why do you write in white letters?

Had the same thing happen with the below. No specific cars, just generic categories. Avis IT is as bad as AA's...

Status: PC
Location: DTW Booked: Intermediate SUV Assigned: N/A Offered in app: Jeep wrangler PHEV, Nissan Rogue, Durango RT, (I think) Grand cherokee, a few other no-name mid-sized SUV's Accepted: Durango RT First durango had a few warning lights, second one reeked of weed. Tried to see if there were any Yukons/wagoneers/etc. Available the third time I went back to the preferred desk- got a third Durango Fun ride, would rent again as long as gas is cheap |
I also liked the Durango despite it being a heifer... it was the R/T with I'm asuming a V8, and it seemed to get better mileage than the 4-cyl "EcoBoost" Ford Edge I had a few weeks ago. It was also a lot smoother and defiitely more punchy without sounding like ball bearings in a blender like most of those 2.0 turbo fours that's in almost everything.
