Booked: Intermediate
Offered: Assigned 2022 Frod Edge in app upon landing
Received: took the Edge. They're decent, and I was not in the mood to deal with anyone. ANYONE.

First time at YYZ I was able to check the app, walk up to my car, get in and go without queueing or dealing with Ethel McSurlypants. This has never happened before!! Mirabile dictu!

Offered: 2020 Toyota Camry 35k miles
Received: 2022 Dodge Challenger GT

Wasn't super happy with what I was offered so I selected to choose a different car. Refreshed the list a few times and there wasn't anything better so I went back to select the Camry but it said it was no longer available. Then the list refreshed again and this bad boy showed up as a complimentary upgrade! 5200 miles on the odometer. It's been a fun week 😁

Booked: full-size
Assigned: 2021 Toyota Prius (41k miles) 2020 Honda Accord EX-L (39k miles, allegedly with XM radio) 2020 Chevy Blazer AWD

I was hoping for an SUV to be able to haul people around this weekend, but it turns out it will only be a small crowd. Like last time, I certainly don't need a car with more miles than my own.

UPDATE: after I canceled the rental, I got an email saying my Blazer was ready for pickup in spot A06. No way to find out the mileage, but it's a 2020 with a V6. If they had initially assigned me that I would've picked it up; I've been wanting to try the Blazer since they started making it again. Now I'm kind of bummed.... oh well

Booked: Full size
Offered: 2022 Toyota Camry (2k miles)
Ended Up With: 2022 Dodge Charger (17k miles)

First time in AGES that the app actually offered me a car, good news.
Offered me no swap/change options, bad news.
I only needed a car for 6 hours, and a new Camry suited me fine, good news.
The car was crawling with ants, bad news.
As I was waiting in line to swap, the app suddenly offered me a Charger that i just grabbed and ran. Enjoyed it quite a bit so all worked out.

Location: ABQ
Booked: Full size
Offered: GMC Acadia
Picked: Nissan Altima

Went to the Acadia, got it all set up and then turned on the A/C - Urine smell.
Go over to the Select and Go and picked off the Altima. Drive to the exit gate but kiosk guy could not assign it to me. Had to get two other vehicles to back up so I could back up and to the Preferred booth and get them to fix it.

My rental is in about 22 hours. When does the app show the car? Do I have to do something proactively like click the pick up button? So many hours max in advance? I rented full size so we'll see what a 2-class upgrade is...

The most recent posts - the cars had ants and smelled like urine. Hope I fare better.

You have to be within a geofence area of the location to be able to confirm the car with the app, or see alternatives. I don't know the distance or if it changes by site, but when I've been on the airport property, I am always able to see what the options are.

Has never heard of such a vehicle so I accepted it. Worked fine and fairly durable.

Isn't it basically a modern-day Matrix (Corolla hatchback)? I used to get one of those from Zipcar back in the day and it certainly got the job done.
