I am having an issue booking a reservation with points. The error message keeps saying
Reservations with a non-discounted daily rate cannot be made with points.

I am not sure what I need to do to book a reservation with points. I will say that even when I clear the AWD code it always includes it in the reservation so I am unsure if that is the issue.

Make sure you book in 24 hour increments with points or the system is known to have issues. Even if you're only keeping it 12 hours, book for 24 and return early. If this doesn't do it, give some more details if your rental and I can try to replicate it.

Having the same issue. Trying to rent 3 days in SFO in February Saturday to Tuesday. Should be 1400 pts per day but get the website error about $250 daily rate...won't even even allow a 1 day rental.

Have you tried booking in exact 24 hour increments? If not, give that a whirl. If not, what dates? I'll have a look and see if I can replicate the error.

Update amd correction to my OP.... Need to rent 4 days in February 22-26...Saturday to Wednesday.When trying 3 days it allows use of points now. When putting 4 days it won't allow to use points at all.

The $250 daily rate error pops up. Even tried calling avis and was offered more expensive vehicles that could use points but not mid size vehicle. I am scared to book 2 reservations for the same car for fear of being charged for late return on first and no show on other.

Update: this daily rate issue still not fixed so called reservations and just booked 3 day rental that allowed points and was told when picking up car to go to service desk and tell them you are modifying rental for an extra day. Agent said you will be charged the normal discounted daily rate if you do it this way. We shall see.
