I think it's a Budget internal promo code. I've had much better luck with S341840.

Thanks very much. I just wanted to make sure that code R524190 was not going to pose a problem. I can rent for a week at RSW in April for $209.10 all in. The S341840 came out higher on this rental. I appreciate your help. Best of luck.

Pardon my ignorance here, but what kind of problems were you concerned about? I just reserved with R524190 (got a great rate, thanks!) and want to make sure all is good.

For my rental (PHX, 12/28-30) this code worked much better than S341840.

I'm wondering if R524190 allows for unlimited mileage or not? When I try booking with this code on a one-way rental, it lists mileage costs of ".29 USD / add'l mi ". Other rate codes state unlimited mileage.

Can anyone confirm if this rate code results in a surcharge per mile driven?

My R524190 reservation lists unlimited free miles. Maybe one-way has different requirements?

I am seeing the same thing. That sucks.

I have been watching rates for compact cars next week going to Durango, CO, for 7 days. I thought they might get cheaper as the dates got closer.

At Budget, the code R524190 gave me a rate of $160.00 + $57.07 in fees = $217.07.

The code S341840 gave me a rate of $184.97 + $61.29 in fees = $246.26.

At Costco, through Avis, the same vehicle is a rate of $130.94 + $63.97 in fees = $194.91.

ETA: Still searching for a better rate than Costco offered....I had so many search windows open at the same time I'm not even sure which site gave me the rate.

Through Avis, using AWD # S754600, the pay-it-now weekly rate for next week was $ 138.46, unlimited miles, $ 65.30 taxes/fees for a total of $ 203.76.

I did a quick search for a discount coupon code and came up with Coupon # MUWA169 (expires 3/31/16), which raised the rental price up to pay-it-now weekly rate of $ 141.52 but took $ 25.00 off. Adding taxes/fees of 61.43 the total came to $ 177.95 pay-it-now rate for the week with unlimited miles.

I have run out of time and I think that is the best I can do. ;)

I think many people when comparing rates forget that Costco gives you the bottom line price including taxes and fees upfront. Whereas car rental sites, such as Budget give you the pre tax/fee amount. So with that, Costco is often better.

My company's Budget code still works. BCD# U143206

Works best within the US/Canada, but has worked for some overseas as well.

Looks like the per mile fee when booking a one way varies on the rental location for R524190. I have a couple one way reservations (airport locations) and they're unlimited mileage.

I am from Austria and that code would work for me as well - just gave it a try and I would save over 600 Dollars. Am I allowed to use it, or do I need to show something when I pick up the car?

oh, and where can I see if it's free milage. Right now I only find the following - does that mean it's not included?

mileage charge: plus 0.26 EUR / add'l mi
