website confirmation changed price
I booked a ressie on the internet at avis.com a few months ago and printed out my confirmation showing 304 euros for ireland, now when I put in the confirmation number into the website it has changed the price to over 400 euros. Which will ireland avis have? Will i have to argue? Should I call avis.com?

See what others have to say but I would call Avis up and ask them if there have been any changes in taxes or fees since you reserved your car. If not, then ask what you need to do to have the rate changed in the system prior to your arrival (might need to speak to a manager). You shouldn't have to waste your time once you arrive at the airport to fix a rate you already confirmed. You may have to fax your copy to them as proof. Also, do you have the original email conformation? The link embedded in them takes you to a copy of your final reservation page.
Good luck and keep us posted

hI,
I followed the link from the email and it still had the new price. I tried calling ireland and they close early at 6 pm so they were already closed, I called avis here and she said it is reflecting the price in the system as if I was just entering the code now, which is true as it matches the current rate. She said they will have my original price when I check-in, and to show my printed copy.
But it goes to show that everyone has to print out their final confirmation page and save it!!
Thanks everyone,
Karen
