AVIS Preferred - LHR T1-4
Does anyone have experience with AVIS our of Heathrow T4? I understand the pickup location is off the airport, is it a quick trip?
Do they have your keys ready at the location for AVIS Preferred customers?

The main depot is on the road alongside the northern runway. You'll go there by shuttle bus. Board outside the relevant terminal - it is signed though I find signposting at T2 to be very confusing. Transfer from T2/3 should be less than 10 minutes (perhaps a bit more from T4 which is further away). That said traffic around LHR does sometimes snarl up and there may be a bit of a wait for the shuttle if traffic is bad.
