Adding Avis Prefferred # to a broker's reservation
Hello all. I'm researching a 15 day trip out of LAX in April, looking for an Intermediate or Standard.
To date, a handful of brokers here in the UK have the best prepaid rates (at Alamo). One has come up with one at Avis (company name not disclosed, but location is 9217 Airport Blvd, Los Angeles, 90045) with 202GBP / 220GBP for an intermediate and standard respectively.
I'm an Avis Preferred member in the UK. After receiving the prepaid coupon from the broker, can I call Avis to add my Preferred #?

It seems to be a little inconsistent. I have made several pre-paid reservations through British Airways (because the rates included CDW & TP) and I was able to have my wizard number added. For my upcoming trip I redeemed some BA Avios points/miles to book the car and when I called Avis I was told they could not add the wizard to the booking.
