Avis code safe?

Hello. This is my first post so I apologize if I'm not doing it right....

I have searched this forum and found the Avis Lockheed code: A126900

Has anyone used this code without being asked for ID? And yes, I have also googled it, and found nothing. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

No one can tell you if its "safe"... Proceed at your own risk.

If you have an accident while using that code, and that code gives you some sort of LDW, or other coverages, be sure that AVIS will want to verify if you really are entitled to use the code.

No code is "safe" unless you are part of that corporate. Try using costco, AAA, or a program you are part of.

Lockheed's AWD comes with LDW on business only, if you need LDW you should purchase it. Any LDW affiliated with an AWD will be verified and if you don't work for the company, you won't be covered.

Lockheed Code

I had used the Lockheed AWD code, A126900, for ages for the best discount and it suddenly stopped working this past spring. Also, the Priceline code, A686200 only gave me 10 percent off out of Baltimore.

You think Lockheed codes are gone or just changed? Thanks!

That's the code I've used forever (I actually can use it, though my work ID is so faded if I'm questioned about it I may be SOL, ha ha). That code still works for me but some of the Lockheed codes have changed recently... use at your own risk.

Short-sighted.

If you use a code to which you are not entitled and have an accident and are found at fault, coverage will be denied when the investigation turns up the fact that you don't work where you say you did.

That leaves you on the hook for the repairs and, if things are bad, for the medical expenses of the other guy.

Not too much of a "savings".
