Avis - O'Hare: Service NonExistent
Just venting about the abhorrent lack of busses that service the O'Hare. You stand in the godless freezing cold, just to watch 12 Hertz busses, 6 National busses and two dozen Enterprise vans go buy before the one lone Avis/Budget buss rolls up and loads the 35 people that have accumulated in the 22 minutes you were standing there.
That, and the Preferred desk closes after 9PM. So when they "upgrade" you to a vomit smelling Mercury Grand Marquis you get to stand (no line) at the rental counter only to be ignored for another 10 minutes while the manager laughs it up in her office 6 ft away.
Oh, And I just figured out that the 27 rentals I did last year mean nothing to re-qualifying for Avis First (like that matters???) becuase I put in my FF#. Shame on me, I know. But Seriously??? What does Avis have that (my favorite) Hertz doesn't???

OP: sounds very similar to DTW. I can't wait 'til they decide to build a consolidated rental car facility.
Possibly like me, the OP is required to use Avis, per a corporate travel policy.
