Selecting seats redeeming with MileagePlus
You can select seats on UA redeeming LifeMiles but you can’t on Avianca using MileagePlus. Now, you can’t even see Avianca seat maps: “Oh, oh! Your ticket was issued on another airline”
AV stopped reciprocating a long while ago but now went the extra mile to deny access to their map.
I usually purchase but sometimes redeem UA points to empty my account with UA.
Each trip on AV gives me another reason to consider giving Volaris a try on their new service SAL-OAK going forward.
