Using LIfemiles on Amazon.com

I'm sure many of you have seen that you can now use your LifeMiles towards purchases on Amazon.com.

I have done a few simulations and it seems to be a pretty poor ROI... in other words, less than 1 US cent per mile. I can't seem to find any more information on their website beyond the e-mail announcement.

Has anyone seen any more information on redemption values? Is this a dynamic/variable amount? Would be great if LM could provide some info but they can't even transfer calls or pick up the phone these days..... GRRRR

Really tempted to just cash out while the miles have some value....

I'll keep an eye open for that offer. (I've received LM e-mails recently, but not about Amazon.) My Lifemiles are currently set to expire the end of January 2021, and I likely won't have any trips planned by then to anyplace that LM customarily actually has award seats available. Might as well use them on Amazon, even at a poor ROI, rather than let the miles expire and disappear.
