Will Avianca increase the amount of miles needed like UA is doing starting feb 2014

They already increased their required miles amount twice in the last one and a half year. The first increase was for adjusting the regions and the second was a significant increase on all awards, especially first class.

if you need to ask, think twice, three times before you buy LMs
as an earlier poster observed, only buy if you can redeem immediately

Good in theory, but when you sometimes want to book 1 month out and they don't have the promo, get a little difficult. Of course I wouldn't bank more than 50K with them.
It seems like the people are demanding a devaluation, in the nominate benefits thread the affordable awards is winning!

I would nominate:
1. Call center that encourages you to learn Spanish, so you don't need an agent to interpret for another agent.
2. Sudden award cost inflation. Always something to look forward to, like op-ups!
3. Inability to book anything except what the web engine offers.
Edit: I just noticed that was a member suggestion after the original nominations to include "competitive awards". Thank you SingaporeDon, I'm speechless.
