Cabin bag allowance

Hi All.

First time flyer with Asiana (normally BA) . ICN to PVG in Business. I booked business for the two hold bags.

Q? How many cabin bags do I get? Is it one cabin bag and one laptop bag or just one cabin bag.

Thanks in advance.

One carry-on bag plus small laptop bag/personal item.

Actually, you're allowed two carry-on bags and one personal item for J.

thanks sol95. Looking at the options on MS windows usin edge as a browser it said I had two hold and one cabin. After your post I checked on my iPad and guess what. Different advice and a lot clearer. 2 cabin bags. Already here in Korea (in on BA from UK) but takes the pressure off in case one of my bags was deemed bigger than a laptop bag. I've had a bad experience on EK so wanted to check.

generally, OZ is pretty easy on cabin bags. earlier this year, I was boarding a flight and on the aerobridge, the lady ahead of me (in Y) had a roll-aboard, an overnight-bag the same size as the roll-aboard, a backpack, and a handbag. FA's didn't even flinch and she got on fine. Don't know if she had issues at her seat, as I was in J, but it was quite a bit of carry-on luggage.

In J, you shouldn't have a problem. I've boarded J with my roll-aboard, garment bag, and laptop bag numerous times without an issue at all.

Just to add another data point, I've boarded J with as much as a duffel bag, a fairly large backpack, a winter coat and a laptop bag. On that particular trip, I also had checked two suitcases and a large monitor (I was moving house). I busted the weight limit on checked items, but a friendly waiver from the check-in agent and me taking the backpack in the cabin solved any issue (getting all that stuff to my new home was another issue entirely..).

Wow. As a BA Gold who does BA short haul business a lot (basic cabin) , I was really impressed by Asiana business on a 1hr 40min flight. Great seats and food. The service is better than anything I've encountered on BA.

yeah. most of the shorter J seats in Europe are nothing more than a Y seat with an empty seat beside you...compared to that, any angled flat is miles ahead.

I've personally found OZ service to be among the best. It is a slightly skewed experience, as I speak Korean which does seem to make a bit of a difference. But I've never had any of the service issues that do get raised on occasion
