Vietnam tours?
Any recommendations/experiences for tours of Vietnam?
I'm looking to go around March/April by myself. (I'm 24, so I'm looking for a tour where I would not stand out). Was looking for at about 10-12 days and figured a budget of $2,000-$2,500 excluding airfare.

Really no need for any tour at all. Vietnam is such an easy place to travel in these days - the country has changed 180 degrees from 10 years ago, and now I fear it will become too westernized for any real exotic travel. The country is totally wired, everyone in the tourist industry speaks, or at least understands, English quite well. I suggest you start reading some of the more active forums such as Thorn Tree or Tripadvisor and get some more insight into the place. You can start with www.reidontravel.com - written by a former LP type. Only the very rich or infirmed need take a tour there. I do suggest local tours in certain areas such as the Mekong Delta - you can get these in country as all hotels and thousands of independent travel agencies are lined up on the street everywhere. It's much harder traveling in Florida these days than in Viet!
