KUL to LCC transfer & check-in time
Hi there
I'm flying in on CX into KUL and need to pass through customs/immigration (hand luggage only), catch the transit to the LCC terminal and check-in (with bags) for an internal Air Asia flight.
I have some options with when I fly into KUL. I'm thinking of flying into KUL at 16:30 and departing 18:50.
Is 2hrs 20 mins enough time to do all this? Can the lines at immigration be long?
Thanks!

The thing to keep in mind is that the check-in for AirAsia flights closes 45 minutes before the flight and they can be strict about it if they're so inclined. Given you're travelling with just hand luggage though, if your connecting flight is just within Malaysia you can check-in online - see http://www.airasia.com/site/my/en/pa...?reference=sci for more details.
You'll probably arrive at the sattelite terminal at KUL, so you've got to get across to the main terminal, then out through customs and immigration, wait for one of the buses around to the LCC terminal and then enjoy the 15 minute or so bus ride around between the two.
If everything goes to plan you'll make it, though would certainly be cutting things fine (I'd budget about an hour minimum all up for the whole process if things go relatively smoothly for you). I'd personally pad out the schedule a little more if I needed to check-in again with AirAsia, though if your flight's eligible for online check-in then you should be fine with 2hrs 20min.

I would be comfortable with a 2:20 transfer arriving with hand luggage only, as checked baggage delivery at KUL is notoriously slow. Inbound C/F passengers get a pass for a priority immigration lane, but immigration at KUL is usually quite prompt anyway.
I've taken that bus half a dozen times, and the word 'enjoyable' doesn't come to mind
. Unless it is one of the newer A/C'ed busses, the old ones are certainly a disgrace to Malaysia, and would have been at home in a third world country 40 years ago; if one of those show up, make sure you hold on tight to your luggage and don't place it near the (usually open) door. In my mind they (and their paying nature) can only have been MH's vengeance for yielding domestic routes to AK...
The bus departs from the normal long-distance bus terminal (not particularly well marked) accessible by covered walkway from one of the bottom levels of the main terminal at KUL. Pay the (~RM1.50?) fare directly to the driver.
