Inexpensive accomodation in Taipei
Does any have any suggestions for an inexpensive clean hotel in Taipei?

In about 75 USD per night range. Not a hostel type but an actual motel / hotel.

KDM Hotel is the best choice
Just across street from Taipei's subway ChungHsiao ShinSheng station, free high speed internet, clean, around TW$ 1800/night, really good

Also the YMCA (or YWCA), a couple blocks south of the RR station. Well...it's been years since I stayed there, but I assume it's still functioning: clean and cheap; private room w/ bath. Discount for teachers.

I stayed at the Waikoloa a couple of times, conveniently located for me because a business contact was just round the corner. (http://www.waikoloa.com.tw/). Rooms very clean and recently refurbished (around 2003 I believe). Big rooms. Big bathrooms w/separate shower and either Bathtub or Jacuzzi. Free broadband that works. Price/quality ratio ++. Amaronis italian restaurant accross the street (http://www.amaronis.com).

KDM Hotel
Great location, right beside the MRT station. Price was $ 60.00 USD per night. Clean room.

For travellers on a budget, highly recomend.
