Exclamation Strategy for using NW Voucher in Eastern Asia

I have two $100 voucher from the NW airline need to purchase the tickets by Jan 31. I plan to go to BKK(and other Eastern Asia Country and HK in the end of June and back to EWR at the begining of Aug. They said NW does not go from BKK and HKG. I need to look for some other airline for the tickets.

Should I just use my vouchers to purchase the tickets from EWR to BKK first and When the summer close, I look for the other legs.

Thanks.

$100 is not very much in the grand scheme of things, considering you might have to pay a lot more than that to fly on NW (TAs typically come in way south of published fares in Asia and vouchers don't apply to many TA tickets). And, then there's the fact that you pointed out; NW doesn't fly BKK-HKG.

Maybe you can tell us more about your vouchers' terms and conditions. Chances are, I'd then advise you to trade those suckers away in CC to someone that might be able to make better use of them (for example, NW is often the cheapest carrier between NRT and lots of places in Asia). But, maybe you'll be able to do something cool yourself; more info is needed to make that call

See if you can get a good open-jaw fare EWR-BKK and then HKG-EWR. The cheapest fares for June often won't be available in Jan. But find out how much.
