Look in the Star Alliance forum if you want to travel on Singapore. There are various RTW deals. You may want to consider purchasing (or using reward) a ticket to get to CMB and buying a RTW in CMB, where it's much cheaper.

Your routing will make this a difficult itinerary due to backtracking. If you can find a way to go from India to Sri Lanka and then head to SIN and BKK you could reduce your cost significantly. In addition, on SQ it might be cheaper to go R/T as opposed to RTW. I'm in the middle of a similar trip right now from ORF-LAX-NRT (stopover) KIX-SIN (stopover) SIN-DEL (stopover) DEL-SIN-NRT-LAX-ORF which saved about $2,000 over a RTW version (in C on SQ). The domestic portion is on UA, and SQ will not put you on the SIN-LAX direct flight for the low fares. I don't think SQ flies to Colombo from India, so it might be cheaper to by that portion separately.
