A couple of traffic questions for you --
How much time would you allow to get from the Monas area to Bekasi (approximately Exit 28) on a Monday at 7am? How about from Bekasi (same area) to the airport at approximately noon or 1pm? How long should I allow to get from the airport area to the BINUS area by 6pm-ish on a Friday afternoon? TIA. Going to the airport from Bekasi can be a little trickier. I'd guess one hour, but again double it. I don't know BINUS off the top of my head. A school? |

Monas to Bekasi at 7am should be pretty easy. Most of the traffic at that time is coming in the opposite direction. Use the tollway, of course. I'd guess 30 minutes, but double it for safety.

I'd try at the transfer desk. They're pretty helpful in CGK, usually. Exit tax is 150,000 IDR (About $12).

Fast track Jakarta
Hi all,has anyone used a Fast Track immigration service at CGK? We arrive from Singapore at 4pm and depart to Padang at 6.40pm.
We do have visa's, but would like to avoid a potentially long immigration/customs queue and be assisted in getting to our domestic check-in. Those that I find online using google all look a bit suspect - so hoping to hear from someone who's actually used a legit service :-) Would appreciate any advice/comments. Thanks |

Thanks, will try the transfer desk. Do you know whether there is an ATM airside to get the IDR for the exit tax?

I've seen a few people with some sort of meetup, just down the escalator when you come off the plane. I have no details about costs or reliability. Do you have an APEC card? They have a special line for it. I've known people in the past, who just got in the crew/apec line and put a 50k IDR bill ($4) in it. Nothing I'd do or recommend, of course. |

I've seen ATM's around, but am not too sure on the airside. I'm sure the staff would help out if you had USD or Euros.
Sure, the staff will help. It's 150000 IDR or 20 USD, cash. They sure get a good markup out of the captive audience that does not have IDR. I'm glad I had IDR, but a travel companion who did not got suckered for the 20 USD. |

NO ATM airside, at least I did not see any on the arrival level before the escalator to the departure level.

Does anyone happen to know if CGK fingerprints visitors?

Anyone stayed at the HIE Jakarta Pluit Citygate? I'm arriving very late (or very early--1am) into CGK and was planning on staying there.

Thanks I stay at Oakwood Mega Kuningan for extended stays in Jakarta, although I'm not paying for it. If I had to pay myself I'd check out Airbnb, which has quite a few listings now in JKT. |
