Question One Week in BKK

I have to take a business trip to BKK and will be leaving July 16th and returning July 27th. Since my hubby's b'day is the 16th, I decided to take him along as well and am treating him to Raffles Class on SQ via EWR. I'll be on another airline since it is business.

We will be at the Conrad Hotel and while I am working during the day, he needs some things to do. He is an avid golfer and does plan to play a few rounds while there. However, if anyone has any other suggestions, please pass them along.

Thanks

Golf at BKK

There are a lot of wonderful sights to see, any number of websites or guidebooks can reveal a lot of suggestions. There are probably a few suggestions in this forum? example

What does your husband like to do, besides play golf?

Traditional Thai Massage at Wat Pho (and the Reclining Buddha always amazes me)
Ride the water taxi
Royal Barge Museum
Wat Arun
National Museum
Wat Phra Keo
Day trip to Ayattaya

I agree. there is way too much in bangkok to do to golf. And much of it is pretty obvious. The museum is also interesting. Then there is kick boxing, the weekend market. But the historic stuff will take him three to four days and then there are also trips available to the bridge over the river kwai and other places

Cool Things to do in BKK

For yr hubby, fews golf courses recommended
A. Alpine Golf & CC. Johnnie Walker Classic course 2004
B. Thai Country Club. Honda Classic which Tiger Woods came and won the tournament in 2001
C. Bangkok Golf & CC. Johnnie Walker Classic course 2003
D. Natual Park Ram Indra. Jack Niklaus design
These 4 courses should be enough. If he needs to check on any information for these, he can check from thaigolfer.com.

For both of you,
1. Grand Palace and National Museum will take the whole day (proper dress recommended)
2. Floating market will be another whole day trip.
3. Chatujak Sunday market which operate only weekend and can be access easily by the sky train will also a nice full day trip and shopping.
4. Full day trip to Ayudhaya ( the real ancient city )
5. Ancient City - the replica of the historical site around the country ( This is another full day trip )

Enjoy it
