Hotel Accommodation in CMB
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post my inquiry, so moderator please move it as necessary.
I am passing through CMB (Colombo, Sri Lanka) in the next couple of months and am having a difficult time deciding on hotel accommodation.
My SQ flight arrives from SIN at 00:15 and departs 25 hours later at 01:35. I am leaning toward an airport location for ease of transport at that hour of the morning.
I searched the web and found an airport hotel called the Airport Garden Hotel, operated by the Taj hotel group. Can someone who has recently stayed at this property give me their impressions of the place? A standard room is US$55 and a deluxe is US$65.
I'm open to suggestions for other hotels further afield. I found the Lanka Oberoi hotel, operated by the Oberoi Hotel group.
One final question. How easy is it to get to the city at 01:00 apart from renting a car?
Any comments greatly appreciated.
