There aren't many deals between Japan to China; expect to pay at least $600 RT. I've found that intra-Asia travel is a very good use of FF miles. Y-class awards are 20K miles in most programs and C-class is only 30K in several (UA, NW, and JL, I believe). BTW, you can use NW miles to book Air China.
PS - I just noticed that you are only going one way, hence the edit. Well, if it were me, I'd still probably book a free ticket and swallow the return, but $300 is a lot easier to stomach than $600, so it's a tough call.
