Which part of Taiwan are you planning to visit, and for how many days?
If you could share a little more about what you have planned so far, it will help us provide you with more suggestions.

If you're coming to central Taiwan and you have your own transportation worked out, this is a spot I like to visit. It's a small village surrounded by tea fields. There's a market street with lots of shops and food stalls, and trails that climb up into the tea fields. If you're lucky and you get a misty day, you can get 'cloud sea' view from the tops of the hills. There's also a suspension bridge there.

Google says there are busses available from Chiayi train station if you need public transport.
Not recommended if you get car-sick easily. The road to the town climbs a steep hill with 36 hairpin turns. It's popular with us bikers.
