A "hole in a wall" type restaurant recommended in this thread was Wong Mei Kee. Their roast pork rice was heavenly; the one-hour wait mostly in the sun was not. Definitely overpriced since the Bib Gourmand designation. Still worth the trek to me.
A cool dessert place that opened this year is Nucre Patisseries near Jalan Petaling. Japanese-inspired desserts (some very innovative); gorgeous space upstairs and downstairs.
