I'm just waiting for more airlines to begin flights to Bali. Cathay has a few award flight options, but that's about it.

Quarantine requirement will be removed for all of Indonesia. Expect the official announcement some time this week.
Looks like the test requirement stays for now. No update about the insurance requirement. Let's hope for more flights to Bali and opening of more airports for international arrivals. |
The big change would be making a consistent rule for all Indonesia, so you can fly through Jakarta and don't have to find that direct flight to Bali.
|
I am hoping they drop the prepaid hotel requirement. Just a pain to give up flexibility if things change.

Shame that Bali requires insurance specifically covering Covid and a paid-for hotel reservation. All that does is increase anxiety that you'll be rejected at check-in because someone thinks there may be a problem with your documents. Vacc cert and test should have been enough.

Quarantine already scrapped for all Indonesia starting yesterday March 22, international travelers are only required to take a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test upon entry.
|
That's quarantine. There's still the issue of which airports will issue VOA. Also, whether insurance and paid hotel bookings are still needed.

Why even bother with this, I wanted to fly in but the hassle is just not worth it. We are going next year.

No test before arrival, only UPON arrival? Uh oh, they're Thailanding.
But travellers will still need to do a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test upon arrival in Indonesia, he added, without saying if pre-departure tests would continue to be a requirement. https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se...-19-cases-fall |
The latest regulation for Indonesia is out. It reads:
1. Must be fully vaxxed. If not, will be forced to take the jab on the spot. 2. Must have insurance. 3. Must have negative test result 2x24h before arrival. 4. Must be tested upon arrival. 5. Must quarantine until test result (4) is out. Must show prebooked 1 day quarantine hotel. This is almost the same as current Singapore / Thailand scheme. |
Is that tested 2x24 before arrival or departure? The rule, according to AirAsia, has been before departure.

Dumb question but is 2x24 the same as 48 hours? |

https://newsroom.airasia.com/news/20...l-requirements "Foreign travelers must show a negative RT-PCR test result in the country or region of origin which samples were taken within a maximum period of 2 x 24 hours before the departure time. " https://kemlu.go.id/losangeles/en/ne...l-restrictions |
