Transit Manila (UA to SQ)

Wife and I are trying to return from Guam in Oct and have a rev ticket on UA from GUM-MNL, then award MNL-SIN-LAX on SQ. UA and SQ are both in Terminal 3 @ MNL. I called UA before booking and confirmed that they can check-through our bags to SQ all the way to LAX with star alliance interline agreement since we cannot enter Manila. I'm seeing now, however, that PAL says international to international transit is not allowed, but I'm not sure if that's only for Philippine Airlines flights: https://www.philippineairlines.com/e...nectingFlights

"Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, transit restrictions have been implemented. Immediate connecting flights for international to international and international to domestic routes are not allowed. Only domestic to international and domestic to domestic routes are allowed at this time."

Any have a clue as to whether it's going to be possible to do this, or did we get ourselves into a bind? Ty!

According to Timatic 'passengers are not allowed to transit' and it's been like that since the beginning of the pandemic. Unless it changes before your travel, you would be denied boarding for your flight to MNL.

Thanks for the input, that's what I was worried about. Didn't know about Timatic - appreciate the tip there! Were you able to check this with a full subscription on their website? https://www.iata.org/en/publications/timatic/

I have a similar question. Since Philippines reopened has anyone transited within MNL T3? I have SQ-QR and QR-SQ transits coming up. Is there an airside transit facility that doesn't involve clearing immigration to begin with...?
