Greetings from Mongolia!

Dear Friends:
Greetings from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. My name is Echika. I am infrequent flyer, however, I always like to travel if I have a chance and read the other's travel experience. Since the pandemic, the border was closed for over 14 months, prior to that I occassionally hosted international travelers (my college classmates) to Mongolia and helped with the travel arrangement.
I would you like to suggest that I am personal travel helper in Mongolia who helps travelers in Mongolia. At the moment, I don't have page or anthing like that. But once border will be opened by May 10, 2021, travelers might interest in visiting Mongolia. Please let me know if anyone planning to go Mongolian in the future, I would love to be your personal travel guide.
We are so hopeful since the vaccination against the COVID was administered by end of the February, so things going to be smooth here by the summer. Mongolian summer starts by June.
In Mongolia, "as of May 1, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Mongolia now stands at 37,285. In the past 24 hours, 1,039 people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 20,681." https://montsame.mn/en/read/262402

How is the situation in UB? I have been there a few years ago in the summer and it was beautiful.

My husband and I, senior citizens on our own, visited your country a year before COVID and had a wonderful time. Did you ever get McDonald's which was everyone's mind then? I even called McDonald's on your behalf but got nowhere. I guess you are stuck with Burger King and the Charcoal Burger, strangest one I ever had. We enjoyed a day trip to the countryside, arranged by the Holiday Inn.

We are still wondering how you ended up with the work hours so different from most of the rest of the world.

Your art museum was particularly interesting to us as you could see the change in style as your politics changed.

I would recommend a trip to Mongolia to all my Flyer Talk friends and, by all means, fly on the national airline. Otherwise you end up in airports in China, most possibly ones where no one speaks English. Nice non stop on Mongolian Airlines from Tokyo.

I was planning to go in the summer of 2020 but obviously covid put a stop to it. Hopefully it would be over by next summer and I plan to come again.
