Ethics of visiting Myanmar?

I have been to Burma several times when that woman was under house arrest but the Rakhine problem had not yet raise its very ugly head. Now, considering that most of the so called Buddhist population sides with the military / government suppression of Muslims in Rakhine and elsewhere, I would definitely not spend my tourist dollars in that country, I have seen a lot of Asia but there is still so much more that i have not yet seen that I have no desire to visit the baddies.
