CGK Airport Fast Track Meet and Assist Service?
I will be flying to CGK from HKG for the first time. I am traveling with my wife and 2 friends. We are all mid to late sixties. We arrive at 4:00 a.m. Our travel agent has recommended a service that meets us at the plane and escorts/expedites us through customs etc. They then escort us to our waiting driver who will deliver us to our destination. The charge for this service and the drive is $120 pp. We can certainly afford it. The question is whether this is worth it or can we navigate this by ourselves? I should also note that we will have been traveling for almost 30 hours as the trip originates in DCA.

Hello @jmj9905,
Since your question is more about the value of a fast track meet and assist service at CGK than airport security, I've retitled the thread to accurately describe the topic and moved it to the Asia forum where Indonesia and Jakarta are generally discussed.
By the way, according to the Jakarta Fast Track website, you are being overcharged. It should be $198 for VIP arrival meet and assist for two persons at CGK.

What currency is that? USD? way,way overpriced.
HKD? Still high, but maybe justifiable for a first time visitor.
For reference, a Silver Bird taxi into town would be about 220,000 IDR - or less than $20 USD.
A Limo taxi ( without bargaining) would be some 350,000 - 400,000 IDR, or less than $35 USD.
The expedited service might save you 10 minutes at immigration, and you would have the comfort of being taken directly to your ride.
But at a cost of 480 USD for 4 people? - never.

Just go through immigration as others do and arrange transport at one of the limo desks - you can't miss them and they certainly won't miss you Silverbird are the upmarket version of the preferred and ubiquitous Bluebird taxis. They are professional, use clean and comfortable cars and drivers with some command of English.
Even using two cars, in case there are none of the larger ones available, the cost will be less than USD 50
You could even book online, or (better) just use the booking process to see what's available and set your mind a rest.
