Short visit to Malaysia a worthwhile with a child?
Will be in Hong Kong in Jan 2016 for few days. The coountries close to it are Taiwan, Veitnam , Maylaysia, etc. Does it make sense to take a short flight to Malaysia? I have heared of Lego land and the pictures I saw looks cool and fun. But I heared it is not in Kaula lampur and it is far away somewhere? Any buses that goes there from KL or how much is a taxi $?
We are looking for economical ways to make this visit a worthwhile.
We have been to Singapore, Thailand. If KL is not worth, we can do Taipe or Veitnam but wonder if they will be worth with a child.
May just spend 2 days if we do visit KL.
Thanks

Legoland is in Johor and is 300+km / 4+ hours away from KL by bus.

I'll jump in since you haven't had many replies on this.
Do have a look at a map - you'll see that Legoland's in Johor, probably 30 minutes across the border from Singapore, so one logistically easy option is to fly to Singapore and Uber it or rent a car. Just avoid evening rush hour on the way out, and morning rush hour on the way in, and definitely avoid weekends.
