As long as there's no major delays on your first flight, you should be fine since it's the same terminal.

Same terminal, same airline; you should be fine.

Only issue is timely arrival of your inbound flight.

Your only worry would be flight cancellations...

MPH is has a sunset limitation... I would advice getting an earlier flight if just to avoid the possible hassle if somethings comes up, although since you are flying on the same airline, they might be able to easily rebook you if that indeed occurs.

OK i have similar question. made the FT cardinal sin of booking a ton of connex on separate reservations.

Have a KUL-MNL flight on Malaysian arriving at 2:05PM
Separate itinerary for MNL-Busuanga with Philippine departing at 2:40PM,
and a backup itin with Cebu Pacific departing at 3:15PM

Barring any delay, can I easily make it to either flights? Would prefer to catch the 2:40pm. hopefully there arent too much traffic at immigrations. I have no luggage.

IIRC, MH is still in T1. You need to transfer terminals (either T2 or T3 depending on operating carrier for Philippine airline flights), and you won't be able to catch the 240PM flight. You might even not make your 315PM flight. 5J requires you to checkin 30 minutes before flight which means you have to clear immigration, wait for taxi/shuttle, ride T1-T3, clear T3 (first entrance) security in 40 minutes.

Did you do any research as to the different terminals used by the different airlines that you booked your flight in and out of MNL?

I am betting against you making even your backup connection. All in.

35 mins for intl-dom transfer even with OLCI and within the same terminal is not enough time.

Thing is...I just came off the exact same thing IST-KUL-PEN like a breeze. Off-boarded, quick inner-shuttle, only passenger walking over to B gate, 0 line at immigration, and connected to PEN

240pm and 315pm are THE last flights for MNL-USU. And the only one for same-day departure from PEN. (Pen-kul-mnl-usu)

Oh well I'm crossing my fingers to not have to crash overnight

xxx-KUL-PEN is not the same as yyy-MNL-USU

Since you have booked a back up flight maybe you should book a back up accommodation?

well, for posterity's sake:

i pushed the original reservation to early next day's departure. easy enough. but plane form MNL landed at 1:50, deplaned at 2:00, and at 2:05 i'd cleared immigrations and was in arrivals hall. an absolute breeze.

caught a taxi who said that at that time, we could have made it to T2/T3 in 5-10 minutes tops.

BUT the backup 3:15 flight was automatically-cancelled anyway. cebu couldnt reach me to verify the foreign billing address.

booked a stay near the mall of asia where i spent my time. atleast it bought some peace of mind

all was okay on the way in, right?

not to anyone surprise - especially those who cautioned me against it - the way out was a disaster.

USU-MNL ran late. missed connex to KUL. that wasnt final destination, so missed a bunch of subsequent flights as well. all on separate res (dont ask).

subsequent long haul was paid J. salvaged some credit out of it for rebook. nabbed a next day departure in LH F on rewards. thank the mile gods
