KLIA Layover

I am stuck with a six hour layover at KLIA in December, 6pm to midnight. I am flying with Malaysian and am not eligible for Golden Lounge access. I was not able to determine from the MH website whether it was possible to purchase a lounge pass.
Has anyone had any experience with the Plaza Premium lounge at KLIA? It seems to cost about $50 for a three hour pass. There are four of us travelling so it would need to be worth the price of admission.
Grateful for any feedback.

I was in that lounge in May, courtesy of my Priority Pass membership. As I recall, it's on the small side, but was comfortable and entirely adequate.

Alternative would be to head landside and walk over to the Sama-Sama Hotel (ex Pan Pacific) and have dinner there. Reviews say the food isnt bad (and it certainly wasnt bad during Pan Pacific times). Your $$ would go further there than spending it at the small lounge.

I've stayed there a couple of times, it's a great hotel for what it is.

I've stayed a couple of times at the airside transit hotel when I've had a long (but not overnight) layover in KL, even when I've had lounge access.

For that matter, you could get a room there and relax for about the same as 4 people at a lounge. Who cares that there aren't enough beds--you're only there 4 hours.

Thanks for these suggestions. It would appear that the Sama-Sama option may be the best value.

*Please take note Sama-Sama Hotel, KL International Airport is located adjacent to the KL International Airport. It is connected via a Skybridge that links the airport to the hotel.

Sama-Sama Express Hotel, KLIA is located in the satellite building of the KL International Airport, please do not clear immigrations if you have booked with Sama-Sama Express Hotel, KLIA.

For a six hour layover I'd go for the airside hotel to save the bother of clearing the formalities twice. Not as nice as the normal one, but just for six hours...

I am sure the last time I was at the KLIA Golden Lounge there was a sign on the front counter with a charge listed. I assumed it was for entry to the lounge if not on a premium ticket etc.

OK. Thanks Annalisa. This was what I was trying to determine on the MH website. Might have to give them a call to ask about the entrance fee.
