Cathay Pacific for the absolute fastest transit time of JFK-HKG-MNL in 19-22 hours & the herringbone layout.
The JAL (japan airlines) suite is good too. Also try ANA. Both are via Tokyo.
Routing via the South Pacific is like going to Asia via Europe, it's 20+ hours longer. Did you ever look @ a globe map?
You can also transit via other East Asian countries like Japan, South Korea, Mainland China, etc.
