Details when flying domestically
We're flying LAN out of AEP to IGR and BRC over the next couple of days. A couple of questions...
Anything else I should know?
thanks!
- Do they use freedom baggies here / liquids restrictions for carry-ons?
- How strict are they on their carry-on policies in terms of weight?
- Is getting to the airport 1 hour before the flight enough? I am AA Platinum so hopefully LAN has a dedicated check-in counter for elites/first class
Anything else I should know?
thanks!

(2) I've never had my carry-on baggage weighed or checked for size so unless you're planning on carrying way too much stuff, I wouldn't worry about it
(3) I normally like to get to AEP at least 1.5 hours before a domestic flight as I hate having to rush. There is NO dedicated check-in counter for business class or elites on LAN domestic flights (the flights are economy class only) and no elite security lines but it's usually a speedy process. I'd get there 1.5 hours before to be on the safe side.
Happy travels!

I took this same flight last Monday. They don't do the baggie thing but do ask about liquids.
I had to check in the rollaboard I can usually carry on in the States, due to its size.
I would definitely take britenbsas advice regarding arriving at AEP at least 1.5 hrs prior to departure. I arrived one hour before and missed the flight due to enormous check-in lines. It was a total mess. The next flight was five hours later, thereby missing half a day at the Falls.
Enjoy Iguazu!

(1) Yes, there are the usual liquid restrictions in place the same as for international flights

Agree with all the above (based on my vast experience of one AEP-IGR RT last week).
While there is not an elite / First class check-in at AEP, there is a lan.com check-in if you already have printed boarding passes. It's on the far right end of the LAN check-in counter and the line to it was practically covered up by the line getting to the regular check-in. AA in DFW had printed my boarding pass, but they let me use the lan.com check-in counter. I think there were about 4 people ahead of me in the line, so definitely try to print your boarding pass in advance & use that line.

I recently returned from Argentina and took several domestic flights on LAN. All but one were on time. They gave out breakfast vouchers at AEP for a delayed AEP-MDZ flight. My only gripe is that they did a poor job of keeping pax notified of the new departure time. 7:45 flight became a 9:05 flight and finally an 11:30 AM flight. Otherwise, excpetional service on LAN.
There are no freedom baggie requirements, jackets did not have to come off and shoes did not have to come off either! We carried 1 L water bottles in our carry on bags without question.
The LAN baggage sizer is smaller than what we were used to in the US so we checked in our rollerboards. Bags came out quick. However, I did not understand why the bags had to be x-rayed upon arrival in MDZ after a domestic flight.
