Baggage allowance out of EZE

I am flying from DFW to EZE on AA and from EZE to Asuncion on TAM, all bought on the same ticket from a travel agent. I will be stopping in Buenos Aires for 2 nights before continuing my trip to Asuncion. Does anyone know if the baggage allowance from EZE to ASU will be based on the piece system or the weight system? I am hoping since my journey started from the U.S. and it is the same ticket, that the piece system applies all the way to ASU, even though I stopped in EZE for 2 nights and changed airlines. Thanks and Semper Fi.

Tricky question.... I dont know what the "by the book" rules are, but in my experience these cases are more about how you manage to "sell" your specific situation to the gate agent that checks you in at EZE. Its probably good to check with AA (call their 800 number) and ask for the rule details on what you will get as baggage allowance. If the rules are bad news, then I think you still have a decent chance to sweet talk you way out of getting charged extra at EZE, provided you smile a lot and explain your situation nicely and ask for understanding.

Talking about AA baggage in EZE, can anybody explain why AA there will not only not affix the red "Priority" tag to F and J bags, but also expressly refuse to do it ?

This is not a temporary shortage of tags, it has gone on for 3 years and Dallas apparently knows nothing about it. In the case of a connection in DFW or MIA, it can waste 30 minutes.
