Day trips from Bs As
This question is mostly directed at Gaucho100K but anyone can help. I am looking for a couple good day trips from Bs As. I am open to anything and interested in just about what ever anyone has done or can recommend.

I suggest you look into visiting some of the following places:
- El Tigre
- Day at an Estancia (e.g. San Antonio de Areco)
- Colonia (Uruguay)
It kind of depends on your schedule, budget and interests. Care to share more about what you are looking to experience?

I'll hijack the thread.
Tomorrow I'm taking the 21:40 flight from EZE-JFK. I'm looking to do a day trip with two friends. If I go to Colonia, am I certain to get back to the Hilton to grab my bag and head to EZE in time to check in for the flight.
If not, should I go to El Tigre? Is there anything I need to know about heading there.
Thanks

Did a couple of AWESOME day trips on the last FT Cow Do, in BsAs over Labor Day.
Did the Colonia/Uraguary one...excellent. Great way to chill out wandering around the historic city, taking in the view from the top of the lighthouse, enjoying a casual lunch, just wandering. Plenty of ferry times for depatures/returns on the Boquebus.
Did the estancia option: the Estancia Los Dos Hermanos. Ana & Pancho are THE BEST!! And, they picked us up at our hotels & dropped us off at the EZE airport in time for our flights back. Can't say enough good things about the day there, how cheap it was, the incredible value it was for all that one got for the money, & the convenience.

Colonia is always a good option, I actually prefer it over Montevideo.
