I guess the main problem, apart from the language barrier, is that many Uber cars here are quite small (Chevrolet Onix, Fiat Argo, etc.) and as such people may have a problem carrying luggage. There is sadly no option to ask for a larger car -- I for one would pay extra for it. People who travel light should be fine, though.

For a family of 4 with bags, you will most probably have to take 2 Ezeiza Taxis unless you have VERY small bags and have luck in getting an Ezeiza Taxi that is a small mini-Van type vehicle. Please note that Argentine cars follow the European standard when it comes to sizing, so most standard sedans in Argentina would probably qualify as Sub-Compact cars in America.

On a related note Uber worked surprisingly well at AEP for me but I would use the taxi kiosk option if not in a hurry, don’t have cash, or completely unable to speak Spanish. (You do have to sit up front and pay cash to actually get an Uber, for me it was a small price to pay for the cost savings but YMMV).

Agneisse, Thanks for your insights, sounds like Salta should be pretty easy. To bad to need to pay cash to actually get an Uber, I think the ability to have it auto charged to a CC is the best thing Uber has.
Cabify is the best option at the moment if you dont want to pay cash

Your post history suggests you are American which means you won’t even need to pay ATM withdrawal fees given the right bank cards

Friendly reminder. For using Uber in the city, please remember to make sure you ride up front if you are solo. Until Uber is 100% legal here, its an easy way to avoid potential issues.

True story: I once took a cab in the Netherlands. The driver was a Turkish guy and I look quite "Northern European". I had no idea Dutch people seat in the front seat, so I sat in the back, and I spoke to the driver in English because I don't speak any Dutch. I started a conversation and he was very sour. He only relaxed after I told him I'm from Argentina. He then becomes friendly and we talk about football. At the end of the trip he says: "At first I thought you were Dutch and I was mad a you because I thought you sat in the back and spoke to me in English because you were a racist Dutch guy who wouldn't share a front seat with a Turkish driver -- now I see you are not from here, so that's ok".
