I would strongly suggest against staying at EZE. Just go into town, get a room for the night, have a great meal and then drive to Mar del Plata.

Also... Steakhouses are pretty much a US invention. There are no true or authentic steakhouses in Argentina..... there are, however, many tourist traps.
Are you looking for a high-end dead cow experience or do you just want a place where the local would eat a good piece of meat....???

I'm looking for a good steak. I've been to BA a few times so I can find a good restaurant. How hard will it be to get from Palermo to the highway to Mar del Plata in the am. I can get rolling around 7. Or should I stay in Recoleta or another neighborhood? Then I can work on dinner. Thanks.

In the Ezeiza Area, the best place is El Mangrullo... its owned by the same guy that own the Holiday Inn, he is also the "mayor" of Ezeiza County.

I have not driven in the city but I have driven in Argentina. I was not looking forward to fighting the traffic. The HI may be perfect. HI is now booked-thanks.

If you have time and care to come back and report how your stay at the HI was, that would be greatly appreciated.

I was there last night. I have to say that I was impressed. The hotel was new and nice and reasonably priced. Much better than what I normally expect a Holiday Inn to be like. There was some type of conference going on so lots of security was around. I would definitely stay there if you had any reason to be near EZE. And the restaurant was good too. Not the most extensive menu I have seen for an Argentine steak house but the service was good, food was very good and the prices reasonable. It had a little ambience and the oja de bife was very nice. For an airport hotel when comparing to US airport hotels, it was much nicer than you would expect. I give it a thumbs up.
