Alas U--Replacing Pluna

Any information on the proposed replacement of Pluna? AR certainly isn't doing the job properly.

I haven't seen anything published in the local media..... I suggest you check the Uruguayan papers.

Whether or not AR is doing the job properly, I would think that any non-AR company (and especially a foreign one) that wishes to fly into Argentina, especially to AEP, would be hard-pressed to find a business model that could work (at least during the K regime). From getting permission to fly/land, to getting ground support, to having the ground support cease service without notice, despite a contract, to the myriad of other obstacles, absent some quiet deal where we don't know the details, I don't think we'll see something soon.

Yes, I read yesterday that LAN is still having problems at EZE and AEP with ground services, even though they provide the company with 80 percent of the revenue.

Much as it pains me to say it, I'd run it like a Cueto. And much as it pains you to say it, you'd want me to!
